An AI drawing experience for Fontys

Description

We were commissioned to create an interactive installation for Fontys that introduces new students to the creative tech field. The setup needed to be modular and easy to transport, allowing the experience to move between locations without losing its impact.

The installation invites participants into a creative dialogue with AI. It features multiple design challenges, which can be activated depending on the event or location.

Users begin by making their own drawings, which are scanned into the system. Through the interface, they shape a prompt that, together with the drawing, becomes the basis for the AI’s response. The AI then generates its own interpretations, transforming their input into new visual outcomes.

Instead of replacing creativity, the installation focuses on keeping the user in control. AI acts as a collaborator that enriches the process, inviting participants to explore autonomy and authorship as they shape the outcome.
